LAKE FOREST, IL – The Chicago Bears have agreed to terms with DE Willie Young on a three-year contract.

The 28-year old Young started 15 of 48 games played over four seasons in Detroit (2010-13), picking up 72 tackles – including six sacks and 11 tackles for losses – seven pass break-ups and two fumble recoveries.

In 2013, the 6-4, 251-pound Young set or tied career-highs in games played (16), starts (15), tackles (47), sacks (three), pass break-ups (five), tackles for losses (seven) and fumble recoveries (two).

In one postseason contest, Young recorded two tackles – including a sack that he stripped the ball loose from New Orleans quarterback Drew Brees, which was recovered by Detroit.

Young entered the NFL as a seventh round (213th overall) selection by Detroit in 2010 out of NC State.
