LAKE FOREST - The Chicago Bears have signed OL Bradley Sowell to a 1-year contract.
Sowell, a 6-7, 309-pounder, has played in 68 career games in the NFL with 21 starts.
A native of Hernando, Mississippi, Sowell spent the 2016 season with the Seattle Seahawks where he played in 10 games with nine starts. Prior to that, he spent three seasons (2013-15) with the Arizona Cardinals where he played in 48 games, including 13 starts during the 2013 season when the Cardinals finished 10-6. Sowell spent his rookie season with the Indianapolis Colts where he appeared in 10 games.
Sowell was signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted rookie in April 2012. He made the 53-man roster, but was waived and signed to the Bucs practice squad before signing with the Colts in September 2012.
Sowell played college football at the University of Mississippi from 2008-11 where he was a two-time All-SEC honoree.
