CHICAGO-Jay Cutler returned to action Sunday, but the Bears still lost to the Lions 21-19. Cutler played well in the first half. He hit Brandon Marshall for a 32 yard touchdown. But Cutler injured his ankle early in the second half, and he was ineffective.

Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford threw three touchdown passes, two to Calvin Johnson.  The second one with 2:22 remaining in the fourth quarter gave the Lions a 21-13 lead.

The Bears replaced Cutler with Josh McCown. He marched the ball downfield. He connected with Marshall on an 11 yard touchdown pass with 40 seconds to play to pull the Bars within two points. The Bears went for the two point conversion and the tie, but Matt Forte was buried in the backfield for a loss on a handoff.

Cutler completed 21 of 40 passes for 250 yards. He had one interception in the endzone as well has his one touchdown pass. He had a quarterback rating of 69.8. McCown was 6 of 9 for 62 yards on his one drive. He had a quarterback rating of 123.4.

The Bears dip to 5-4. They're tied with the Packers one game behind the Lions in the NFC North. The Lions sweep the season series from the Bears.
