LAKE FOREST - The Bears got their quarterback to build with in Mitch Trubisky. Now they have a weapon for him to target.
In the second round of the NFL Draft Friday night the Bears used their pick on tight end Adam Shaheen from Ashland University in Ashland, Ohio.
Shaheen dominated at the Division II level. He's a former basketball player with a 6'6, 278 pound frame who's athletic.
His junior year in 2015 he set a Division II record for a tight end with 70 receptions for 803 yards and 10 touchdowns.
His senior year in 2016 he had 57 receptions for 867 yards and 16 touchdowns.
