Bears Lose Preseason Snoozer To Browns

CHICAGO - If ever there was a case to discontinue a fourth preseason game it was the Bears effort Thursday night against the Browns.

With most of the starters held out of the game, the Bears played it cautious trying to avoid injury and they couldn't muster anything against a hungry, young Browns team. The Browns won 25-0.

The Bears were held to nine first downs and 159 total yards. Mitch Trubisky started the game. He completed only two of five passes for ten yars as the Bears decided to keep the ball on the ground.

The Bears went to the air more when Connor Shaw replaced Trubisky. He completed 11 of 18 passes for 110 yards. Still the Bears couldn't put points on the board.

Kevin Hogan and Cody Kessler quarterbacked for the Browns while Deshone Kizer and Brock Osweiler were held out. Hogan pass for two touchdowns. Kessler passed for another.

The Bears finish the preseason with a 2-2 record.
