LAKE FOREST, IL – The Chicago Bears have terminated the contract of vested veteran RB Michael Bush.

Bush has started 20 of 89 games played in seven seasons with Oakland (2007-11) and Chicago (2012-13) rushing for 3,250 yards on 809 carries (4.0 ypc) with 29 touchdowns. He has added 1,010 receiving yards and two touchdowns on 104 receptions (9.7 ypr).

In two seasons with the Bears, Bush had 177 rushing attempts for 608 yards (3.4 ypc) and eight touchdowns, adding 13 receptions for 131 yards (10.1 ypr) and a touchdown in 28 games played (with one start).

Bush originally entered the NFL as a fourth round selection (100th overall) of the Raiders in 2007 out of Louisville. He sat out the entire 2007 regular season on the PUP list due to a leg injury.
