Bears Win In OT On Gould Field Goal

CHICAGO-Injuries and a major storm didn't stop the Bears from beating the Ravens Sunday at Soldier Field. They won 23-20 on a Robbie Gould 38 yard field goal in overtime. It was Gould's third field goal of the day.

The Bears fell behind in the first quarter 10-0. That's when a major storm blew threw Chicago. With the area under a tornado watch play was suspended for nearly two hours. Fans were ordered to evacuate the stands. They took shelter in the concourse.

Play did resume, and shortly after in the second quarter Bears' defensive end David Bass pulled off the play of the day. He batted a Joe Flacco pass in the air, then caught it and returned it 24 yards for a touchdown. That tied the game at 10-10.

Josh McCown, filling in for Jay Cutler, dumped a 14 yard touchdown pass to Matt Forte for the Bears only other touchdown in the fourth quarter. McCown completed 19 of 31 passes for 216 yards and one touchdown. He was not intercepted.

The Ravens had a chance to win the game in the final minute of regulation, but a pass into the endzone by Flacco was incomplete. The Ravens settled for a field goal to force overtime.

Forte had 83 yards rushing on 21 carries.
