LAKE FOREST-Jay Cutler will start for the Bears Sunday against the Lions. Doctors cleared him Thursday morning. Cutler then went out and went through a full practice. He said afterward that he's feeling 100 percent.

Cutler was originally expected to be sidelined for four weeks with a groin muscle tear. But plasma injections and other treatments sped up his recovery. Marc Trestman was impressed with the way Cutler went about healing.

"He's done everything he can on and off the field to get ready. The last couple days he's gone through an excessive protocal to make sure that he was by doctors' evaluation cleared to play the game on Sunday."
