Bourbonnais, IL- One of the most important competitions at Bears’ camp is the battle for the backup quarterback job. Jordan Palmer and Jimmy Clausen will both likely make the final roster, but which guy will get the nod first if Jay Cutler comes up injured again? Neither player has seen much game action in recent years. Palmer has the advantage of having been in the Bears’ system last year, but the coaches and General Manager Phil Emery are very high on Clausen’s potential. So how is Clausen approaching this camp?
“Just go out each and every day and compete. That's the biggest thing just go out there and compete and see what you have. So that's the biggest thing that I'm learning about right now is just stay in the playbook. Know my assignments and getting in good plays, and making plays every day,” says Jimmy Clausen, Bears Quarterback.
