BOURBONNAIS, IL.- The Bears had a lot of issues last season. One of the biggest was at the safety position. Bears fans were stunned when the Bears didn't go after one high in the draft. Especially when they passed on Alabama's Ha-Ha Clinton Dix who's now with the Packers.
But the Bears did bring in some free agent players to compete at the safety position. MD Jennings the former Packer. Adrian Wilson the former Cardinal. And Ryan Mundy who started nine games with the Giants last year. They know the competition is wide open here at safety.

"Phil Emery and coach Trestman they made it clear that this training camp is about competition. That's alright. I've been a worker all my life. Particularly in Pittsburgh and last year with New York, so competition is nothing new to me," says Ryan Mundy, Bears safety.

Out of that trio the most intriguing guy is Adrian Wilson. He appeared in five Pro Bowls with the Cardinals.  But he's 34 years old and he missed all of last season with a heel injury. Everyone's anxious to see if he has anything left in the tank.

Mr. Emery gave me a chance. I think it's a low risk for them and a high reward, so I'm looking forward to the opportunity. I still think I have burst. I still think I can play," says Adrian Wilson, Bears safety.

The Bears four preseason games will be huge for all of three of those guys. I'll be back at six with a look at one of the strengths of the Bears the offensive line.
