Bears Fall to Browns

CLEVELAND- The Bears fell to the Browns 33-13 Thursday night in their final preseason game. The Bears sat starting quarterback Jay Cutler and backup quarterback Jimmy Clausen. David Fales, a sixth-round pick from San Jose State threw for 146 yards, finished 13 of 24 for 146 yards. Bears wide receiver Santonio Holmes caught a 32-yard TD pass from Fales and returned a punt 30 yards. Robbie Gould had a 39-yard field goal in the first quarter and a 23-yard field goal in the second quarter. Josh Bellamy was the Bears top receiver with four receptions for 78 yards. Former NIU quarterback and Bears rookie running back Jordan Lynch, had 18 yards on six carries. Brian Hoyer drove Cleveland’s starting offense for the Browns’ first touchdown in the second quarter, before he turned things over to Johnny Manziel. The Bears will need to reach their 53-man roster by Saturday.
