SPRINGFIELD -- A governor hopeful is making a last-minute surge. State Senator Kirk Dillard is gaining on current front-runner, Bruce Rauner. The latest poll shows him with 23% of the vote compared to Rauner's 36%. Dillard's number has doubled in a month. His campaign also got a big, $400,000 boost from unions. The other candidates trying to win the GOP primary are Bill Brady and Dan Rutherford.
