That's one reason why Netha Morgan paid a visit to our station, with a picture of the son she lost in Afghanistan.
She says what congress is doing is a disgrace, "Because they are forcing people who are innocent to suffer for what they want to control. We elected them to do a job, and their job is to sit there and coexist until they can come to an amicable decision."
The House and Senate did agree on at least one thing. Both passed bills guaranteeing the military will be paid.
But as for veterans seeking help with benefits, or furloughed federal workers and their families, they're still out of luck.
