Beloit Woman Charged With Embezzling More Than $350,000

Prosecutors say 57-year-old Reva Vera used her position as a shipping manager to steal from employer
ROCKFORD -- The former shipping manager for American Extrusion International was indicted in federal court on charges she defrauded the company out of $352,743.23.

57-year-old Reva K. Vera faces two counts of mail fraud.  Prosecutors allege she submitted ficticious invoices to her company that were then sent to her address in Beloit or a post office box in Loves Park, and she then cashed them.  Each count carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine plus restitution.

Vera was arraigned on Tuesday and released on bond.  She'll appear next in court on January 27th.
