Alcohol May Have Played Role In Death of Man Found On I-88

STERLING - An autopsy shows Lee Catlin was drunk at the time of his death.

UPDATE (1/15/14): the Lee Co. Coroner determined Catlin died from hypothermia.  During the autopsy, it was determined his blood-alcohol level was above the legal limit for driving.

UPDATE: Illinois State Police have identified the victim as 65 year-old Lee Catlin of Bettendorf, IA.  The Lee Co. Coroner's Office has also determined that foul play was not a factor.

STERLING - A body is found on the side of I-88 early Wednesday morning.

The Illinois State Police discovered an unresponsive male victim near Hoyle Road, which is just four miles west of Dixon around 8am. 
For now, investigators are only calling it a death investigation.  The victim is 65 years-old.  Investigators are seeking the public's help for any information on the case.  Please call 815-632-4010 x 220.

The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of the family.
