Beloit Stand-Off Ends With Four Arrests

BELOIT - Four people are arrested after a swat team moves in on a Beloit home.
BELOIT - The Beloit Police Department's S.W.A.T. team was called in to take control of a situation Wednesday after four suspects barricaded themselves in a suburban home.

The incident stemmed from a attack Tuesday night, in which 18-year-old Tyrice Somersett was pistol whipped by one of the suspects at 11pm in the 900 block of 10th Street.

The four suspects returned to a residence in the 1900 block of McKinley, where police arrived to apprehend them at 6am Wednesday morning.  When the suspects refused to surrender, S.W.A.T. was called in.

Negotiators were then able to establish contact and the four gave themselves up.

Twenty-two year-old Charreese Long and 19-year-old Arsheal Gill have been charged with armed robbery. 21-year-old Erica Martin and 19-year-old Dakota Stevenson are both charged with being a party to an armed robbery.

Police recovered drugs and a handgun inside the home.
