Belvidere High School Making Global Impact

BELVIDERE -- The school raising more than $15,000 towards clean water to communities across the world.
BELVIDERE - 345 million people on the continent of Africa don't have access to clean water. A hard fact one stateline school is determined to change.

At Belvidere High School, the DECA chapter, along with the help of the community, raised more than $15,000 to give to water.org.

The effort shows that age doesn't matter when it comes to making a difference.

"We proved that here, just a simple idea, and wanting to make a difference, you can do it; raise $15,000 and have an impact on hundreds of people's lives, and I wouldn't have been able to do it without the support of the Belvidere community," says Haley Gustafson, DECA chapter president.

All donations to water.org help bring clean drinking water to people in need around the world. If you'd like to donate, click here.
