Busy Valentine's Day in the Stateline

ROCKFORD- Cliffbreakers looking forward to a busy night.
ROCKFORD- It's Valentine's Day! And Cliffbreakers is looking forward to a busy night!

"We do expect a lot of people today. We have 196 reservations for tonight and we're probably going to be doing 260 because of walk-ins," said Shendet Ismajlaj, General Manager at Cliffbreakers.

Ismajlaj says the severely cold weather we've had this season is not holding couples back from celebrating. Especially since we're actually above freezing.

"Im happy that there is no snow. New Year's Eve was kind of bad."

This couple here (see attached video) decided to start their Valentines Day early and enjoy a Valentines day lunch.

"I thought it would be special for us to spend our last unmarried Valentines here since we are getting married in May," said Ashley Ramirez.

Ismajlaj shared with us who usually pays the tab.

"I never really saw  a lady pay I usually see the gentlemen pay. I think that's the right way to handle.

"Valentines always affects the men's wallet especially. There's lunch, we're going to go to a jewelry store and who knows how much we'll spend, said Mike Peyton.
