DEKALB --  Waste Management agrees to take extra precautions following the gas leak that sent several at Cortland Elementary to the hospital.

They are no longer allowed to dig into solid waste if the wind is blowing south towards the school at 10 miles-per-hour or more.

Also, workers must wear monitors that record levels of combustible gas.

This all comes after Cortland Elementary School was forced to evacuate after being overcome by gas two weeks ago.

A lawsuit against Waste Management is set for a status hearing in March.
