Man Gets 12 Years In Prison For Drunk Driving Death

Jonathan Rios Barrios, also known as Pedro Ramos, was sentenced today to 12 years in prison.  He was convicted on charges of aggravated DUI death, aggravated DUI causing great bodily harm, and falsifying an affidavit.

The crash happened on December 16, 2012 at Forest Hills and River Lane.

Loves Park Police say Rios Barrios ran a red light and crashed into a van driven by William Neal.  Neal died at the hospital.  A passenger in the van also suffered an injury and was taken to SwedishAmerican.

When an officer questioned Rios Barrios about the crash, he provided a false name and age.  His BAC was also over .08.  He was also speeding.
