ROCKFORD - Rockford's police chief will not appear at a disciplinary hearing on Monday after all.
ROCKFORD - Wednesday, a Winnebago County judge dismissed a complaint filed by Rockford Police Chief Chet Epperson regarding which agency has disciplinary jurisdiction over him.

The Board of Fire and Police Commissioners has scheduled a disciplinary hearing for Epperson for Monday, August 25 complaint filed against Epperson by the police union after he allegedly interfered with a wellness check at the home of  local NAACP president Lloyd Johnston in October.

Shortly after the ruling, Epperson's attorney, Thomas McGuire, filed a continuance motion with the board which was denied.
