Police Investigate Shooting on City's West Side

One person is in the hospital after an overnight shooting.
ROCKFORD - New this morning, Rockford Police are investigating a shooting to a residence in the 600 block of Acorn Street.

Eyewitness News is More Local in the Morning where the shooting happened around 1:30 this morning. While the investigation is still ongoing, police have been able to determine that one or more people walked up to the house and started shooting into the residence.

Police say a 19-year old man was shot in the elbow and was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. An 18-year old was struck by glass shards and declined treatment.
