The purpose was to see what can be done to better the school's manufacturing training. Officials at RVC wanted the advice and support of the community.
"There's open jobs and we really need to help as quickly as possible to train and prepare people for the work force," says RVC interim president Mike Mastroianni. "Tonight we'll be able to discuss with people the types of equipment and space that's needed in order to be able to do that."
Rock Valley is now one of ten community colleges in the country that has been designated a "Right Skills Now" college.
