Security Officer Shot While Patrolling Auburn Manor
ROCKFORD - A security officer is now in the hospital after being shot while patrolling a local apartment complex.

Just before midnight Saturday Rockford police responded to the Auburn Manor apartment complex at 4212 Auburn Road, after receiving a report of an aggravated battery with a firearm.

Police officers located a security guard on the premises with a gun shot wound. The guard was patrolling the complex on Saturday night when he was shot.

He was transported to a local hospital to be treated for non life threatening injuries.

No arrests have yet been made, but police are looking for a black male in his twenties that was wearing black pants and a black shirt.
