One year anniversary of a historic meteor hitting the earth and a creative snow boarder taking to the slopes of New York City.
WTVO / WQRF – The mighty meteorite. One year ago this week a meteor fell from the sky landing in Chelyabinsk, Russia. It was the largest meteor to hit earth in over a hundred years; it actually was taller than a five story building. Luckily it broke into thousands of pieces, mostly the size of gravel, but the shock wave from the explosion shattered windows and injured nearly 1,500 people.
And finally, somebody has the Olympic spirit! New York got dumped with over a foot of snow this past week causing this guy to get creative with transportation.
