UPDATE: Belvidere Woman Sent To Prison On Drug Conviction

BELVIDERE - A woman will spend several years in prison on a drug conviction
UPDATE (7/31/14): The Boone Co. State's Attorney's Office reports Cepeda was sentenced to seven years in prison.  She pled guilty to her unlawful delivery charge.  There were two incidents where Cepeda delivered a substance containing cocaine to a cooperating witness.  Both deals happened near the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Belvidere.

BELVIDERE- Officers arrest 26-year-old Crystal Cepeda for allegedly dealing cocaine near a church.

Belvidere narcotic detectives tracked her for two months before taking her into custody. The offense is a Class X felony which means if convicted, she could get up to 30 years in prison.
