UPDATE: Rockford Murderer Sentenced To Prison

ROCKFORD - A man learns how long he'll be in prison for shooting a man to death.

UPDATE (9/30/14): Pickett was sentenced Tuesday in a Winnebago Courtroom to 20 years in prison.

UPDATE (7/7/14): Pickett agreed with prosecutors today to plea guilty to 2nd degree murder.  It's a charge that carries a sentence range of four to 20 years in prison.

Pickett's sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 25.

UPDATE (9/23/13): Investigators issue charges against a local teen who may be involved in a murder.

Tronte Pickett, 19, is charged with attempted first degree murder.  Anyone with information on his whereabouts are urged to call Rockford Police or Crimestoppers.

ROCKFORD - One person has died after a fight escalated outside of a Mobil Gas Station on State Street across from SwedishAmerican Hospital.

Jordan Bounsinh, 22, was pronounced dead Saturday morning after suffering a gun shot wound to the head. Rockford Police continue to investigate the incident that began around 2:30 in the morning Saturday.

An autopsy is pending by the Winnebago County Coroners Office. Authorities say that toxicology tests will be available in approximately two weeks.
