UPDATE: Rock Valley College Tabs New President

ROCKFORD - A year long search comes to an end.

UPDATE (1:23pm): RVC didn't have to look far to find its new leader.  The school selected Mastroianni.

Mastroianni has been with RVC since 1998.  He's served as an adjunct instructor, Director of the Management Institute, Dean, Assoc. Vice President, and V.P. of Career and Technical Education and outreach.

Mastroianni is a lifelong Rockford resident.

ROCKFORD - A year long search comes to an end.

Rock Valley College is expected to announce its new President Tuesday afternoon.  Its been without a permanent president since Dr. Jack Becherer officially stepped down in January.

The school's Vice President of Career Education, Mike Mastroianni, has been serving as interim president since Becherer left.  He is being considered for the job, as well as Elizabeth Burmaster and John Hogan.
