BELVIDERE -- Flashing lights and firefighters line a street in Belvidere after a home goes up in flames.

It happened early Sunday afternoon on E. Harrison near McKinley Avenue.

Firefighters say a quick thinking neighbor called for help, since the family wasn't home at the time.

"A neighbor spotted the fire," said Chief David Worrell, Belvidere Fire Department. "Upon arrival, we found most of the fire was on the exterior of the building near the garage."

No one was injured in the fire.

The cause is still under investigation.
