Feds Postpone Key Monthly Jobs Report

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The government shutdown claims another victim.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The government shutdown claims another victim.

The Dept. of Labor confirms employment data scheduled to be released Friday won't happen.  Officials say they're too short-handed to get the information out.

The last time a jobs report was delayed happened in 1996 during the last government shutdown.  The report came out two weeks later.

No word on when, or if, this new report will be released.  Analysts predict the country's unemployment rate for September would've been 7.3%
