UPDATE: According to Xerox their Electronic Benefits Transfer system is back up and running after a temporary shutdown.The technical glitch prohibited users from using their Illinois LINK cards and accessing their food benefits.
ROCKFORD- Shoppers in Illinois and several other states found themselves without SNAP and WIC food assistance benefits today.

Seventeen states, including Illinois, are still experiencing issues. Technical staff is addressing the issue and expect the system to be restored soon.
