The republican grilled Secretary of Health and Human Services, Kathleen Sebelius, during a hearing, Wednesday.
He specifically asked her who in the administration knew about the website's problems. Her response though was different than in previous interviews.
"You stated earlier to Mr. Harper that you give the president regular updates on the marketplace, the president stated he knew nothing about the status and the functionality of the marketplace, how often, and what were the subjects of those updates?" asked Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL).
"Well I think there were a series of regular meetings with the president, with some of our federal partners with offices of the White House," said Sebelius.
Congressman Kinzinger also asked where the funding for to fix the marketplace problems is coming from. Sebelius acknowledged that some of it is being drawn from accounts not specifically designated for the affordable care act.
