Bears Lose Collins For Season

A knee injury will cost Bears defensive tackle Nate Collins the rest of the season.
LAKE FOREST-The Bears thin defensive line keeps getting thinner. The Bears learned Monday that defensive tackle Nate Collins has a torn ACL in his left knee. He'll miss the rest of the season.

"Nate Collins is bad," said Bears coach Marc Trestman Monday during a press conference at Halas Hall. "He's got a torn ACL. It's a Henry Melton thing. He'll let it settle for a week, and then he'll have surgery down in Pensacola."

Melton went down with a torn ACL two weeks ago.

All the injuries mean more playing time on the line for Landon Cohen, Zach Minter, and David Bass.
