Chicago, Illinois-The Chicago Blackhawks will open their 2013 training camp on Wednesday, Sept. 11 at 3 p.m. with a media availability featuring Blackhawks Vice President/General Manager Stan Bowman, Head Coach Joel Quenneville and select players at the University of Notre Dame’s Compton Family Ice Arena (100 Compton Family Ice Arena, Notre Dame, IN). The on-ice portion of training camp is scheduled to begin on Thursday, Sept. 12 at approximately 10 a.m. ET.
The club will open camp with 31 forwards, 19 defensemen, and six goaltenders on the roster. IceHogs on the roster include Kyle Beach, Terry Broadhurst, Phillip Danault, David Gilbert, Drew LeBlanc, Mark McNeil, Jeremyk Morin, Brandon Pirri, Ben Smith, Adam Clendening, Klas Dahlbeck, Dylan Olsen, and Kent Simpson.
The Blackhawks will return to the United Center on Monday, Sept. 16 for the team’s annual Training Camp Festival. Doors will open at 5 p.m. for the sold-out event and the scrimmage will begin at 7 p.m. The Mad Dash to Madison 10K skate will start at 5:30 p.m., followed by the 5K run/walk at 6:30 p.m. For more information, visit chicagoblackhawks.com.
