Chicagoans Win Family Bowling Tournament

A Chicago mother and her son were two of the bigger winners Monday at Don Carter Lanes.
ROCKFORD-Another major tournament wrapped up at Don Carter Lanes Monday. The International Family Tournament finished. Kids and their parents teamed up to bowl for scholarship money.

Some of the bowlers were as young as five years old. There was a parent-teen division and a parent-youth division. 28 states were represented in the tournament.

The winner of the parent-teen division was Josephine Sanchez and her son Manuel from Chicago. The winner of the parent-youth divison was Michelle Brownlee and her daughter Makayla from Kansas.

The winning teams earned five thousand dollars in scholarships.
