Van Vleet Ready For NCAA Action

Fred Van Vleet says the Shockers will stick with what's been working when they open play in the NCAA Tournament.
ST. LOUIS-Fred Van Vleet and the Wichita State Shockers are anxious to take the floor Friday night for their first of what they hope will be many NCAA Tournament games. The #1 seed Shockers will play #16 seed Cal Poly in the Midwest Region.  #1 seeds are 116-0 against #16 seeds in NCAA Tournament history.

The Shockers are the only unbeaten team in the tournament. Van Vleet says they'll stick with what's been working.

"We've been doing it 34 games and a couple months now, so now is not the time to change up anything that we've been doing," says Van Vleet. "Just try to take it up another level. You know it's still us against the world, and we're still hungry. Still being the hunters."

That game will begin at 6:10 p.m. Central Time Friday.
