LeBron Picks Cleveland!

LeBron James ended the suspense surrounding his free agency Friday by announcing on SI.com that he's going back to the Cavs.
CLEVELAND-The King is going home. LeBron James announced in an exclusive essay on SI.com that he is going to be a Cav again. He said there won't be a press conference to announce his decision or a made for television event like the one he had four years ago. He chose the SI.com essay because he says he wanted to explain himself uninterrupted.

James says he's learned a lot from his mistakes and his four years in Miami. He realizes now how much his home and Northeastern Ohio mean to him. Here's an excerpt from the SI.com essay written by James.

"Before anyone ever cared where I would play basketball, I was a kid from Northeast Ohio. It’s where I walked. It’s where I ran. It’s where I cried. It’s where I bled. It holds a special place in my heart. People there have seen me grow up. I sometimes feel like I’m their son. Their passion can be overwhelming. But it drives me. I want to give them hope when I can. I want to inspire them when I can. My relationship with Northeast Ohio is bigger than basketball. I didn’t realize that four years ago. I do now."

James' family also factored into his decision. He has two young boys, and his wife Savannah is pregnant with their third child.
