Pro-Am Adds Talented Stanford Duo

The Rockford Pro-Am Golf Tournament will include the top two college amateurs in the world.
ROCKFORD-The field of golfers for the Rockford Pro-Am keeps getting deeper. Monday the top two amateur golfers in the world were added to the lineup. They are Stanford teammates Patrick Rodgers and Cameron Wilson.

Rodgers is the number one ranked amateur in the world. He won the 2014 Ben Hogan award and the 2014 Jack Nicklaus award as the top college player. Rodgers won eleven tournaments for Stanford which ties Tiger Woods' school record.

Wilson is the number two ranked amateur in the world. He is the 2014 NCAA individual champion. He qualified for the 2013 U.S. Open as an amateur.

Both Rodgers and Wilson will join the PGA Tour late this month at the Travelers Championship. The Rockford Pro-Am will be held Monday, July 14th at the Forest Hills Country Club.
