Saints Top Bears 26-18

The Saints came into Chicago and established an early advantage, knocking off the Bears 26-18.
The New Orleans Saints came into Chicago undefeated, and after establishing an early advantage with their revamped defense, they left perfect too.

The Saints jumped out to a 13-0 lead in the second quarter behind Pierre Thomas, and never looked back. Thomas finished with 91 total yards and two touchdowns, both in the second quarter. Drew Brees was great at the helm for New Orleans, carving up the Bears secondary for 29 of 35 passing for 288 yards and two touchdowns.

The Bears took the loss despite the effort from Alshon Jeffery. The second year wide receiver had a franchise record 218 yards receiving on 10 catches and a touchdown. Jay Cutler finished with 358 yards passing, two touchdowns and no interceptions.

It will be a short turnaround as the Bears try to cope with their first losing streak under Marc Trestman. They host the winless New York Giants on Thursday.
