Threloff Hopes To Help Huskies

DeKalb native Jordan Threloff is hoping to help turn around NIU's basketball fortunes.
DEKALB-NIU's basketball team has suffered through seven straight seasons of 20 or more losses. Jordan Threloff is hoping to be a part of better times for the Huskies. The 6-9 DeKalb native could be a key contributer this season. He transferred in from Illinois State. The former Barb has two seasons of eligibility left.

Threloff didn't see a lot of action at ISU. He's eager for a fresh start, and he knows what he has to do to earn playing time.

"I'm super exicted. It's an exciting time of the year," says Threloff. "With the new school and coming back home it's an amazing feeling. I have to be the most physical guy on the court. Most nights I'll be teh heaviest at least. That's something that this team is going to be. We're going to be physical. We're going to be rebounding. We're going to be tough inside."

The Huskies will host Rockford University this Saturday in an exhibition game. The Huskies will play their season opener Friday, November 8th against Nebraska-Omaha.
