Workers are transforming Harlem's football field from grass to turf.
MACHENSEY PARK-The sight of dirt being moved around at Harlem's football field has Harlem students and administrators smiling. They're getting their new field.
Construction workers have begun tearing out the grass surface, so they can replace it with artificial Field Turf. The work will take all summer, but the field will be ready to go in late August when school begins again.
The cost of the project is $670,000. Most of that money has been raised through private donations.
