Football Fans Find Healthy Concessions

Concessions at high school football games are more than hotdogs and popcorn now.
Rockton-Concessions at high school football games are getting a makeover in the Stateline. Health Concessions made it's debut last Friday night at Hononegah.

Health Concessions serves items like protein smoothies, protein cookies, trail mix, sparkling fruit water, yogurt, fruit pouches, and pineapple dipped in chocolate.

All of the items sell for between $1 and $4.

"A lot of the concessions, the idea behind it is to raise money for sports, and we need to have that, but we want to give an option for healthier things, and not always a lot of things that are full of sugar and maybe not quite as healthy," says Jim McIlroy the operation of Health Concessions.

Money generated byk Health Concession goes to the booster clubs of the schools. McIlroy says Health Concessions hopes to expand to all Stateline schools.
