Beloit Police Report Standoff Situation

UPDATE - A brief standoff with Beloit police on Wednesday night results in two arrests. It all started as a traffic stop in the 700 block of Oak Street.

However, two men bolted from the vehicle inside a nearby house. They were taken into custody hours later without incident. Laquann Kendall is now facing weapons charges.

He had been involved in a domestic situation just a day earlier at the same location. Police say the investigation is still ongoing.

BELOIT - We begin tonight with developing news out of  beloit.

It happened in the area of 708 oak street  in beloit. Where police attempted to make a traffic stop.

Witnesses say  they saw two men, who may have been armed, jump out of the vehicle and run into  a near by home.
Police set up a perimiter around the house  as a precaution, and asked residents to stay inside.

In the end, the two men came out peacfully.
