Bergstrom Stateline Quiz Bowl Celebrates 100th Episode

It started as a showcase for some of the Stateline’s best and brightest students. Now, Bergstrom Stateline Quiz Bowl is turning 100!

Kind of.

This weekend’s contest between Guilford High School and three-time Bergstrom Stateline Quiz Bowl champion Auburn High School is not only a matchup of two NIC-10 powerhouses, it also marks the 100th episode of popular WTVO and WQRF gameshow.

“We couldn’t have done one show, much less one hundred, without the schools taking part and the support of our great sponsors,” says Kelly Lattimer, VP/General Manager of WQRF-TV, which provides services to WTVO-17 and produces the program. “Each week, this show continues to grow tremendously in both scope and interest among viewers and the business community.”

Bergstrom Stateline Quiz Bowl hitting the century mark isn’t the only exciting news coming from Lattimer and her team.

To help celebrate 100 episodes of Bergstrom Stateline Quiz Bowl, Nexstar Media Group has announced that during the Season Four finale on May 18, they will be awarding each member of the winning team a $1000 grant. Students participating on the second-place team will take home $500.

Bergstrom Stateline Quiz Bowl airs three times per week and is hosted by Eyewitness News anchor Eric Wilson.
