Call of Nude Man Kicking In Door to Winnebago Co. Home Leads to Arrests

WINNEBAGO COUNTY -- Winnebago County Sheriff's Investigators say a bizarre call of a nude man kicking in a door may have started as a drug deal that turned into an assault.

On the early morning hours of Tuesday, Winnebago County Sheriff’s Deputies were sent to the 600 block of Homestead for a report of a nude man who had kicked open a door to a home.

They found a 26-year-old man who had been stripped of his clothes, beaten, then escaped that home and kicked in the door of a nearby one seeking help.  Investigators say he and a female friend had gone to the home, possibily seeking drugs, and that's when the man was attacked.

29-year-old Chad Dobbs and 27-year-old Joel Dach were arrested and charged with aggravated battery and unlawful restraint.  Dobbs is also charged with possessing cocaine and marijuana.  Both are being held in the Winnebago County Jail.
