WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Senate is set to revisit a stalled proposal to raise the federal minimum wage from $7.25 to $10.10 per hour.
President Obama and congressional democrats plan to push the issue on the campaign trail ahead of the November mid-term elections.
In the meantime, many states have made moves to raise their own minimum wages. 21 states and the District of Columbia already have higher wages.
Maryland, Minnesota, Delaware, and West Virginia have recently approved minimum wage increases.
