Could the Government Shutdown Affect Local Preschools?

Rockford-Head Start is a federally funded program that serves children from birth to age five. The program depends on those federal funds to operate. Organizers say the Government Shutdown has not stopped them from receiving funds, but if it continues they say they might have to make adjustments. Head Start says they are ready to make those adjustments if needed.
