Feds To Help Fight Chicago Gun Violence

CHICAGO - THE Windy City will get more federal help to battle gun violence.

The Department of Justice says it will send seven more ATF agents to the city to join the 45 already stationed there.  The move comes less than two weeks after an outbreak of shootings over the July 4th weekend.  Those shootings left more than 60 injured and at least 14 dead.

Attorney General Eric Holder says the additional agents headed to the city will help local leaders in their effort to keep the city safe.
