Five Fights Break Out at Jefferson High School, One Person Arrested

No one was seriously hurt in the fights. One person has been arrested.

ROCKFORD - One person is in custody after several fights broke out at Jefferson High School Thursday morning.

Police say the altercations took place around 9 a.m. They describe four of the fights as "mutual combat." The fifth was described as "mob action" after four students ganged up on one student.

One arrest has been made. Only minor injuries were reported.

An investigation is ongoing.
