Dixon - A federal grand jury indicts the city's former Comptroller for allegedly stealing more than $50 million from the town over the past two decades.

So far, Rita Crundwell, 59, has been charged with one count of wire fraud.

Prosecutors believe she used the money to buy jewelry, luxury cars, and to fund her horse breeding operations.

Crundwell's arraignment date is set for next Monday.
